Target Clinic Expands Into NC and VA
|
Target announced last month that it will open eight new Target Clinic® locations, four in North Carolina and four Northern Virginia. These will be the first Target Clinics in those states, and the announcement could indicate the company is ready to move beyond what appears to have been an experimental approach with its retail clinic strategy. The new clinics are currently under construction and slated to open in late July. Target currently operates clinics in four markets: Minneapolis/St. Paul, Baltimore, Chicago and South Florida. The first retail clinics opened inside Target in 2003 in Minneapolis/St. Paul and 2004 in Baltimore under the MinuteClinic brand. Target eventually took over the operation of those clinics, and expanded into Chicago and South Florida in 2010.
